Dr. Mahdi Jafargholizadeh is an international leader in physical activity, exercise professionals’ regulation, workforce development, and global health promotion. He has dedicated his career to advancing professional standards, strengthening workforce competencies, and promoting evidence-based approaches to active and healthy lifestyles worldwide.
As President of REPs Malta and Chair of the ICREPs Global Standards Committee, Mahdi has played a significant role in shaping international standards for exercise professionals and supporting the recognition, quality assurance, and mobility of the fitness and physical activity workforce across different regions.
With extensive experience in governance, education, policy development, and international collaboration, he has worked closely with professional bodies, educational institutions, government stakeholders, and global organizations to improve the quality and accessibility of physical activity services. His work focuses on building sustainable systems that empower professionals, enhance public health outcomes, and support lifelong participation in physical activity.
Mahdi is a passionate advocate for professional excellence, innovation, and inclusion within the global active health sector. As a member of the World Active Council, he is committed to contributing strategic leadership and fostering international partnerships that strengthen the role of physical activity in creating healthier and more active societies.
